Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: July 30, 2026  ·  Effective date: July 30, 2026

Contracting Alliance Inc. ("Contracting Alliance," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through contractingallianceinc.com (the "Site"), how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Site you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are

Contracting Alliance Inc. is a Florida corporation located at 1245 Madeira Key Way, Orlando, FL 32824. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at info@contractingallianceinc.com or by phone at +1 855-460-7275.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

When you submit our Contact form at /contact, we collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Subject (optional)
  • The content of your message

When you submit our Subcontractor Application at /apply, we collect:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company name
  • Types of residential and commercial roofing you work with
  • US states where you operate
  • Years of roofing experience
  • Number of crews you manage
  • Whether you have a dump trailer, speak English, hold Workers' Comp and General Liability insurance
  • How you found us
  • Names of up to three previous roofing companies you have worked with (as references)

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our web server automatically logs technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and access timestamps. This is standard server log data used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention (e.g., detecting spam attempts and enforcing rate limits on our forms).

2.3 Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies — no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies:

  • contracting_alliance_session — a first-party session cookie that stores your session identifier, enabling core functionality like CSRF protection and language-preference persistence. HttpOnly, encrypted, SameSite=Lax. Lifetime: 120 minutes of inactivity.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — a first-party cookie containing a security token used to protect our forms from cross-site request forgery attacks. Same lifetime as the session cookie.

Both cookies are essential to the operation of the Site and cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality (such as submitting the contact form). Because they do not involve tracking or profiling, no consent banner is legally required under most jurisdictions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiry — when you contact us or apply as a subcontractor, we use your details to reply, evaluate your application, and follow up.
  • To operate and maintain the Site — including security, spam prevention, and troubleshooting.
  • To match qualified subcontractors with roofing contractors in our network — if you are accepted, we may share relevant application details with contractors who need crews in your operating states, subject to a separate partnership agreement you will review before that happens.
  • To comply with legal obligations — such as responding to lawful requests, tax and accounting requirements, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information based on your consent (given when you voluntarily submit a form), our legitimate business interest in operating and improving the Site and responding to inquiries, and where necessary to comply with legal obligations.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers we rely on to operate the Site:
    • Google (Gmail SMTP) — delivers our internal notification emails containing your form submissions to our administrative inbox. Google acts as a data processor.
    • HostGator — our web hosting provider, which stores the Site's databases and files in the United States.
  • Content-delivery networks that load parts of the Site's visual assets (Google Fonts for typography, Cloudflare CDN for icon fonts, Google Drive for our video testimonial embed). These providers may see your IP address, browser type, and referring page but do not receive any information you submit through our forms.
  • Roofing contractors in our network — only if you have been formally accepted as a subcontractor and only for the purpose of matching you with jobs, under a separate agreement.
  • Legal or safety reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Contracting Alliance, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction; we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your contact-form messages and subcontractor applications for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, evaluate your application, comply with legal obligations, and maintain the integrity of our records. If you would like your data deleted, please email us at info@contractingallianceinc.com and we will honor the request unless a legal obligation requires us to retain it longer.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information: HTTPS encryption for all traffic to the Site, bcrypt hashing for administrative credentials, encrypted session cookies, CSRF protection on all forms, rate limiting to prevent brute-force submissions, and honeypot mechanisms against automated spam. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

8.1 All users

You may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Request that we delete your information (subject to legal retention obligations)
  • Withdraw any consent you previously gave

To exercise any of these rights, email info@contractingallianceinc.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe (typically 30 days).

8.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; the right to delete your personal information; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at the email above and mention "CCPA Request" in the subject line.

8.3 Non-discrimination

We will not discriminate against you (for example, by denying services or providing a different level of service) for exercising any of your privacy rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults (18 years or older) engaged in the roofing industry. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Visitors

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country. By using the Site you consent to this transfer.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to third-party websites (including Facebook, Instagram, and our CRM subdomain at crm.contractingallianceinc.com). This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites; please review their own policies before submitting any information to them.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If the changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, through a notice on the Site homepage). Your continued use of the Site after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
